Mississippi’s DMV
The Mississippi Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) is the agency that handles vehicle registration, driver’s license, and other driving-related services.
The Mississippi DMV is a government agency that has been in existence for over 100 years.
Mississippi DMV hours and days vary from county to county. In general, the DMV office is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM and Saturday from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
What is the Latest Update with the Mississippi DMV?
In January 2020, the Mississippi Department of Public Safety (MDPS) will be implementing a new driver’s license issuance system. The new system is meant to improve security, efficiency and customer service.
The new system will eliminate the need for customers to show identification when they renew their licenses at driver’s license offices or when they apply for a duplicate license or ID card. Instead, they will provide their name and date of birth only.
The new system will allow customers to change their appointments in the event that they need to cancel or reschedule them.
This is a good thing for customers because it will not only save time but it will also save them from having to go back and forth with customer service on the phone.
