- The information on every person’s driving license is confidential. This information includes records of traffic violations and accidents, updates of the drug and alcohol database for CDL drivers.
- The release of your driver record must be signed and dated. The data every person needs to fill are – name, driver’s license number, date of birth, and the name of the persons to whom the information is going to be released. This release will remain legit for 5 years.
- When we talk about methods of checking driver’s license history and records, there are three of them: In-person, Online, and by Mail.
Online
By visiting some of the online services like airsdsmvpub.dfa.arkansas.gov or ark.org you can request information about your driving license. The insurance record, for instance, the drivers can purchase for $11.50. On the other hand, the commercial record will cost you $13.
The online process requires certain pieces of information from the driver’s license. You will need to provide:
- First and Last Name
- Driver’s License Number
- Driver License Issue Data
- Date of Birth
- Last five digits of driver’s SSN (social security number)
- A legit credit card (For example, MasterCard and Visa)
- Printer

Fees for Driving Record Types

Suspensions and Revocation

Types of Suspensions and Revocation
Excessive Moving Violations: You will get a suspension based on the point system
- 14 to 17 points: 3-month suspension.
- 18 to 23 points: 6-month suspension.
- 24 or more points: 1-year suspension.
Driving under the influence of Alcohol/Drugs: If you are driving with a blood alcohol concentration of 0.08% or more, you will be charged with a DUI. The license can be suspended for:
- 6 months for a 1st offense DWI/DUI.
- 180 days for a 1st offense BAC test refusal.
- 2 years for a 2nd offense within 5 years.
- 30 months for a 3rd offense within 5 years.
- 4 years for a 4th offense within 5 years.
- Your license may be revoked permanently for a 4th offense BAC test refusal within 5 years.
Driving with a Suspended License or No Licence
Driving with a suspended license will lead to an increase in the length of the suspension. Also, you can go to prison for up to 5 years. A driver’s license can be suspended if the person does not have a license while driving.
Driving without insurance
All the cars in Arkansas need to have proper insurance
Physical or Psychological Disqualification
Suspension if the re-examination finds that the person is physically or psychologically unable to drive safely.
Non-Driving Reasons for License Suspension
These include: not responding to a Motor Vehicle Commission notice or not appearing in court; failing to pay traffic tickets, fines, or surcharges; and not paying child support.

- If it is required by the court, complete an alcohol education/treatment program
- If it is required by the court, pass the driving skills and knowledge tests

You can also use the online method to complete the same process. After you get a new license, you will be subject to a Mandatory Probation Period of 1 year. Any new violations in the Probation Period can result in the suspension of a driver’s license.

I’ve paid for a state police records check in Arkansas and it came back with nothing. I know I had a dui in 2005 the dmv I have a license but everytime I try to get my record they cant find anything what do I do?

What can my brother do? He been in California for over ten years. They can’t give him his license they say because arkansas flagged it when he stayed out there prior for a short period. No one over the phone in arkansas dmv will tell him exactly what he needs to do to fix it out there so California can give him a licence. He had gotten the run around for ten years
